And the FEF 5400 has been developed to cater for the heavier patient and the additional stress and strains this places on a hospital bed. The FEF 5400 carries all the superb features of the FE 5000 such as electronic high-low electronic backrest as standard, the FEF 5400 also has electronic tilting and knee-break as standard with the option of Medicraft Hill-Rom’s specially designed “comfort function” control unit.

This unit incorporates a hand control device covering five different functions which combine the electronic backrest and knee-break movement to enhance patient comfort and prevent slippage up the bed. Not only does this provide increased flexibility for positioning your patients (and increasing their comfort), it also reduces the risk of injuries to patients and staff alike.
