Mediwave alternating overlays and mattresses

Mediwave™ Alternating Overlays and Mattresses

Medicraft Hill-Rom’s MediWave™ alternating overlays and mattresses are designed to relieve and prevent pressure sores by using an alternating series of air cells to progressively support and relax areas of the body where pressure sores usually occur. MediWave™ mattresses and overlays are hard wearing, light weight, easy to use and represent a major leap forward in the development of patient care.

Easy Service & Maintenance with full Certification
All alternating overlays and mattress replacements are completely modular in design. The cells together with many other components can be easily replaced literally in a matter of seconds if necessary.

1. Resuscitation Tag
With one firm tug - the entire system deflates in under 20 seconds in the event of a cardiac emergency.

2. Heavy Duty Elastic Straps
Unlike thinner corner ties - MediWave’s™ wide securing straps pass completely under the mattress ends and sides, tightly and safely bonding the entire overlay to any standard single size mattress.

3. Low Air Loss Alternating Cells
The MediWave™ Premium overlay and mattress replacement systems comprise easy press on cells which alternate at ten minute intervals and automatically adjust to patient weight and position.

The three static head cells provide additional support whilst the six low air loss cells* each feature two laser driven micro holes which infuse the vapour permeable top cover with air to assist with the prevention and healing of pressure sores.

6. Near Silient Premium Control Unit

6. Near Silent Premium Control Units
Features incremental pressure adjustment with comfort control guide and Status LED lights. A Static Switch creates a total support surface for patient transfers and treatment. Air hoses attach via quick release connectors and the entire unit is provided with a full two year manufacturer's warranty.
